Greetings!

Here we are with the second issue of our Festival And Event Guide. We want to thank all those who asked for this guide and those who helped make it possible.

We started out with modest goals for 2008 to provide a “Mini-Mag” of events with some interesting articles to read along the way. We knew there was a need that just wasn’t being met in the community, but we had no idea how eager people were for a positive voice that spoke their language. But, something about our little Festival Guide seemed to touch them.

Readers, storeowners, artists and organizers responded to both the feel and the content of the magazine and made it clear they wanted more. We realized we had started something that had managed to take on a life of its’ own. All we could do was ride this wave; and, Far Out Magazine was born - hangin’ ten.

Life is to be lived - as loud or as quiet as we want, as long as it is enjoyed. It’s our choice to make. So, whether you’re in the garden early Saturday morning or up with the owls at a festival Saturday night, we’re thinking of you and hoping you are making your dreams your reality.
